Treat the adventurer in your life to an intensive training day to become a wing walker. This wing walk display is one of those once in a lifetime experiences that is guaranteed to get the adrenaline flowing as you climb up onto the wing of the biplane for this unique aerial ride. Why walk on land when you can walk on the wing. The aim of this day is to turn you all from budding top wing riders into proficient wing walkers, capable of taking part in a display. We're guessing this is the first time you'll have attempted a wing walk, so the experience starts with a full safety briefing on the ground. You might not be expecting this, but as well as the usual safety procedures, it will include things like breathing techniques and hand signals, all very much specific to the art of being a wing walker. The day is managed, hosted and run by expert pilot Mike Dentith. Mike has done over 2000 air displays as an aerobatics pilot and holds UK Display Authorisation. He is an Approved Examiner of Display Pilots, which means he's the one teaching the pilots to do tricks, making him highly qualified to take you on your exciting journey to be trained up as a wing walker. Mike and his team had the special wing walk rig manufactured to a made-to-measure for his Boeing Stearman plane with a super-secure five-point harness. Once you, the budding wing walk star, has climbed up the wing, which is about 10ft off the ground, you'll be strapped in. When comfortable and after one last run through of what you need to do, you'll be taxiing off ready for the personal wing walk air display of your life. As you feel the wind in your face, you'll be flying at speeds of up to 135mph and it's at this point that you can officially declare yourself as a wing walker. Most wing walkers are so exhilarated in flight that they can't help grinning madly and waving at friends and family below. Keep your wits about you as you zoom in for a fly past at just 50ft off the ground and pull up for a sharp climb before heading into the finale - a classic manoeuvre, the run and break.
